If you're downtown for the reenactment of the Shelling of Carlisle, 2nd Saturday, or #dickinsoncollege alumni weekend, you might need some snacks for all the activities!

These cute little boxes are shareable, but you don't have to. Pre-orders are not necessary - just walk in and ask us for the weekend special.

Amy from Destiny Dairy Bar at @stover.farms will be joining us to sample her farm fresh A2 milk in its many flavors, plus she's bringing a calf for everyone to pet!

The festivities kick off at 3PM with our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony starting at 4PM.

No, that's not the start to a silly joke; it's real life!

Being able to offer a wide selection of Pennsylvania-made cheese in the shop means that occasionally, we spend an entire day visiting farms to make pick-ups. Today was one of those days! It's the best kind of life, and I'm grateful to the farmers and cheesemakers that host us when we're on the road!

Today, we met a camel (affectionately known as Xander) and the cheese named after him! Tune in later this week to learn about Xander's role on a sheep farm and how you can get some of this delicious cheese in the shop!

At Central Wedge Cheese Shop, we take pride in our commitment to bringing you the best cheeses Pennsylvania has to offer, thanks to our owner, Stephanie Beeman, a true cheese aficionado! 🎉 Her passion for quality farmstead, artisan, and specialty cheeses is evident in our ever-growing selection.

Stephanie's background is rooted in food and agriculture. Prior to opening the cheese shop, she worked in dairy marketing and has an education in agribusiness with a focus on dairy science, international agriculture and ag journalism. She was an active member of the 4-H and FFA, raising goats, sheep, swine and cows and her first job was in her mother's bakery!

"Many customers ask how I got started in the cheese business," Stephanie says.

"I wish it was as simple as saying, "I just love cows," but every step of my life has contributed to starting this business!"

Her dedication to supporting local cheesemakers and promoting the rich flavors of Pennsylvania cheese is at the heart of our cheese shop. What do cheese and guacamole have in common? Not

What do cheese and guacamole have in common?

Not much! It's #cincodemayo today and I really needed to bring some Mexican culture to the cheese shop.

I invited @the_agvokate to co-host the local 4-H Curiosity Club for Cinco de Mayo guacamole class!

Katie shared the exciting story about how this Mexican holiday came to be and why it matters to Americans (visit her page for the full story) then they sang a song about Spanish prepositions.

Afterwards, I guided the students through the steps to make guacamole using sound food science practices. Each member had enough to take home to share with family!

I've wanted to share my love for food and culture with people ever since I started taking cooking classes on study abroad trips. I am so grateful for the opportunities this business brings into my life!

I wish I could say starting a business is easy but there is a steep learning curve. Thank you to my customers for your support! I've met many wonderful cheese lovers over the past 365 days. Your interest in and passion for cheese is inspiring. It keeps me motivated to learn and grow.

The shop at @beemansbakedgoods will be closed for a few weeks and reopen on Jan. 18. I plan to rest and work on some exciting ideas for the coming year. See you in a few weeks!
